Arthur (Coochie) Smith formerly of Selma, Ala. pass away on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2007, in Orlando, Fla.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Wintergarden, Fla.

Carrie P. Smith

Carrie P. Smith, 52, a resident of Minter, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2007.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, at 1 p.m.,

at Friendship Baptist Church with the Rev. David Perry officiating.

Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church, directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Seaybell Johnson, and Calvin Gaines Sr., and sister, Eloise Clark.

Survivors include her husband, Leamon Smith Sr., two sons, Leamon Smith Jr., and Billy J. Smith; one daughter, Jacqueline Dowdell; four brothers, Abraham Johnson, James Brown, Joe Cockrell, Calvin Gaines Jr., three sisters, Rosa Johnson, Mary Thomas, three grandchildren, Khadijah Joseph, Lemarcus Smith, Janiya Dowdell, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Josephine J. Peterson, 85, a resident of Selma, passed Monday, Oct. 22, 2007, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Final arrangements will be announced at a later date by J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home.

Richard B. Lee Jr. 55, a resident of Selma, died at his home on Monday, Oct. 22, 2007.

Willie M. Lake, formerly resident of Orrville, Ala. He died Friday, Oct. 19, 2007, in Jacksonville, Fla.
