A Selmont man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the chest he received late Tuesday night and authorities are searching to a suspect.

The man, 52, whose identity was not released by the Selma Police Department, told police he was driving home in the 2500 block of High St. at approximately 10:20 p.m. when the incident occurred.

Police recovered several spent shell casings, which will be used as evidence in the investigation. No arrests have been made, police said.
