Ms. Genette Young, age 51, of Marion died Sept. 27, 2007, 2 p.m., at Berean Baptist Church, officiated by Dwight C. Woods. Burial in Hopewell Church Cemetery directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include: one daughter, Alicia Angelette Young; six brothers, Johnny Sheppared, Bruce Young, Ralph Young, Tommy Young, Mitchell Young, and David Young; three sisters, Judy Moore, Rebecca Bagley, Dorothy Smith and one grandchild.

Active Pallbearers will be Johnny Fuller, Jr., Wesley Sanders III, Lee Lucky, and Calvin Chandler. Honorary Pallbearers will be brothers.

Hugh Lee Sanders Jr., 39, of Marion Ala. died Sept. 25, 2007, in UAB Hospital, Birmingham, Ala. Funeral was held at 2 p.m., Sept. 29, 2007, at Marion Baptist Academy Marion, Ala. Pastor Rev. Mr. James L. Davis, age 73, resident of Selma, Ala. died Sept. 28, 2007, at Vaughan Regional. Services are scheduled for Oct. 6, 2007, 1 p.m. at Calvary Missionary Baptist officiated by the Rev. John Mobley. Burial in Fairlawn Memory Gardens directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include: four sons, James (Jessie) Davis, Jr., of Mobile, Ala., Jimmy (Kamilah) Davis, Columbus, Ga., Lewis Morrison, Atlanta, Ga., Michael Morrison of Selma, Ala.; two daughters; Rosalind (Alphonso) Fletcher, Columbus, Ga., Margaret Ann Ford, Birmingham, Ala.; one brother, Robert (Mary) Squire Jr. Selma, Ala.; two sisters, Maggie Mobley, Yvonne (Al) Hatcher of Selma, Ala.; 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, seven brothers-in-law, three sisters in law, a host of nieces and nephews. Other relatives include: special niece, LeRhonda (Jeffrey) Moore and mother-in-law, Catherine Murry of Selma, Ala.

Mary Mitchell

Mrs. Mary Mitchell, age 63, of Sardis, Ala. died Oct. 2, 2007, at her residence. Services are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, 1 p.m., at Kingdom Hall East Cong. officiated by Bro. James Hudson directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Davis and Paul Farabee and one sister Betlye Kent.

Survivors include: spouse, Clarence Mitchell; one son, John Conner, III, two step-sons, Clarence Mitchell Jr., and Carlos Mitchell; two daughters, Janice Chambers and Julia Richardson; one stepdaughter, Cassie Borders; two brothers, James Davis and Samuel Farabee; two sisters, Shirley McKinstry, Carolyn Farabee; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild; two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law; two sisters-in-law and a host of other relatives.

Interment with military honors will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Coatopa, Ala.
