The new building will house a second fire station, the public safety director’s office and an office to be utilized by the Sheriff’s Department.

In addition to the opening of the public safety building, Valley Grande officials celebrated another achievement &045; its new public safety director, Boyd Pugh, started this week.

According to Mayor Tom Lee, Pugh &8220;hit the ground running.&8221;

The municipality appears to be making calculated decisions as it plans for future growth.

These two milestones are surely just among the first of many to come, as Valley Grande continues to grow.

Elected officials &045; and city workers &045; must continue this planned approach to that growth.
