To the Editor:

The Selma City School board has made some excellent choices lately – a new vice president in Debra Howard and now the hiring of a new principal at Selma High School, Bruce Dozier.

Dozier is a throwback teacher from the 1970s. Back in those days, teachers cared about their students, whether they were white or black.

You can rest assured the students at Selma High School will be disciplined, educated and boys will wear a belt.

Even to this day, when I run into Mr. Dozier, I inspect my clothing attire.

Now, to finish this simple puzzle we must hire a homegrown, Selma graduate as school superintendent and a new head coach of basketball.
