An 18-year-old has been arrested Tuesday night and charged with assault in connection with the shooting of another Selma man.

Arzie Davis III, 18, was jailed for the shooting of Marcus Wright, 22, in the 2000 block of Royal St., according to police reports. Davis has been released from the Dallas County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Authorities said the cause of the incident was unknown, however, Wright suffered from two small caliber gunshots in a leg.
