Convicted burglar sentenced to 25 years

Kentrell Johnson was convicted Tuesday on burglary charges in Dallas County Circuit Court and sentenced to 25 years in prison, after a jury deliberated less than 10 minutes.
Johnson was apprehended at a Tenth Avenue residence, caught in the act by several police officers, who caught him in the residence.
Police responded to a burglary in progress on May 18, 2006. Lt. David Evans, Lt. Michael Harris, and officers Kenta Fulford and Ray Blanks arrested Johnson inside the residence, according to police records.
