Mary Riley Gentry, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Selma, died Sept. 19, 2007.

Funeral arrangement will be announced at a later date by Lawrence Funeral Home.

Bessie Mae Hall

Bessie Mae Hall, 91, a resident of Detroit, Mich. died Sept. 12, 2007, at Sinai-Grace Hospital.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Chapel officiated by

the Rev. Melvin Parker. Burial will be at Oak Grove Augustine Cemetery, Suttles, Ala., and directed by Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc.

Bessie is preceded in death by her husband, Comidice Hall; parents, David and Lou Emma Melton; brother, David Melton; three sisters, Margie Lawson, Addie Melton and Rosalie Dejurnett all deceased.

Other relatives includes a nephew, Joe (Fannie) Goins, of Selma and a sister-in-law, Sarah Melton, of Birmingham.

Pallbearers will be family members.
