Robert J. Henderson III

Robert J. Henderson III, 51, a resident of Homewood, Ala., died Sunday Sept. 10, 2007, in Birmingham, Ala.

Mr. Henderson was a native of Augusta, Ga. and a graduate of Selma High School in Selma Ala. and attended University of Alabama at Birmingham.

He was of the Episcopal Faith.

Survivors include a daughter, Emily Kay Henderson of Brunswick, his parents, Betty June and Dr. Robert J. Henderson Jr. of Brunswick, a brother, William B. Henderson of Brunswick, step-children, Jessica Kreps of U.S. Army, Holly Kreps of Jacksonville, Fla., Destinee Pray and Christian Pray both of Birmingham, Ala., a nephew, Thomas O’Neal Henderson of Brunswick.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas A. Henderson and Edward D. Henderson.

Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday Sept. 17, 2007, from the St. Marks Episcopal Church in Brunswick with Father Liam Collins officiating

The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the St. Marks Episcopal Church, 900 Gloucester St., Brunswick, GA, 31520.

Vernon Calvin Harris

Vernon Calvin Harris, age 68, of Orrville, Ala., passed away Sept. 13, 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Vernon and Willie Harris Cooper and a brother, Howard Harris.

Surviving are his wife, Viva Harris; sons, Mike (Cindy) Harris, Randy (Joanna) Harris and Jeff Harris; daughter, Susan (Bobby) Autrey; sisters, Barbara (Henry) Levert and Rose Bradford; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home with the Rev. Henry Levert and Donald Harris officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mason Harris, Jessie Harris, Keith Bradford, David Bradford, Perry Davis, Joe Suddeth and Chris Nichols.
