Judy Lynn Marzette Sentner, native of Selma, Ala., passed away Sept. 8, 2007 in Grand Canyon, Ariz. Memorial services are scheduled for Sat., Sept. 15, 1:00 pm. at the East Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2910 Earl Goodwin.

Gerald Wayne Cochran

Gerald Wayne Cochran, age 57, of Valley Grande died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Pineview Assembly of God officiated by Rev. Stephen Moore and directed by Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Cochran is survived by his wife, Kathy Cochran, children, Tammy Kaye (Michael) McDaniel of Carrollton, Gerald Wayne Cochran, Jr. of Auburndale, Fla., Judy Lynn Goff of Tupelo, Miss., and Angie Cochran of Wisconsin, seven grandchildren, brother, Bobby Cochran of Valley Grande, sisters, Mary Carol Leonard of Valley Grande,

Lee Smith of Valley Grande, and

numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Etoy Summerlin. Serving as pallbearers will be Author Wade Averette, James Oscar Averette, Chris Cochran, Bubba Smith, Searcy Averette, Jason Buchanan, and Jeremy Nichols. The family will receive friends at Lawrence Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday.

died on Sept. 6, 2007. Funeral services will be held

Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, 1 p.m. at Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Bonner officiating.

Interment will be held in Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery in Tyler, Ala.

with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Ethel M. Quarles, 59, formerly of Lowndes Co., passed away Sept. 6, 2007, at her home.

She was born to the union of Rufus Daniels Sr. and Mary L. Scruggs in Tyler, Ala.

A native of Tyler, Ethel graduated from Lowndes County Training School. After uniting with her husband, Robert Quarles of 40 years, she later relocated to Toledo, Ohio, where she lived for 39 years.

She was employed by Jobst Institute as a seamstress for fourteen years until her health failed.

Ethel was a member of Christ Congregational Missionary Baptist Church, where she served with the Sister 2 Sister Ministries and a former church clerk and treasurer.

She was a phenomenal baker, proficient seamstress and she loved to read. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Willie Hardy, Charlie, William and Perry Daniels. She leaves to cherish her loving memory husband, Robert Quarles; two daughters, Pamela and Kendra Quarles; six sisters, Irene Snow and Jessie Burke of Tyler, Ala., Alberta Ash of Brooklyn, NY., Louise Blue from Los Angeles, Ca. and Lucille Jordan and Mary Myers of Selma, Ala.; two brothers, James Daniels of Tyler, Ala. and Rufus (Joyce) Daniels Jr. of Temperence, Mich.

The family expresses gratitude of appreciation to their church family, Christ Congregational Missionary Baptist Church, Drs. Antonio and Richard Paat, Dr. LaLaine Mattison, and the staff of Arbors at Sylvania Rehabilitation Center, Fairview Nursing Home and Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday Sept. 12, 2007, at 7 p.m. in

Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Barringer officiating.

Services and interment will continue Saturday Sept. 13, 2007, at 1 p.m., Mt. Nebo Baptist Church in Tyler, Ala., Pastor Johnny Bonner officiating. Services are entrusted to Bell Funeral Home of Hayneville, AL. (334) 548-5122.
