A memorial service set for this Saturday will honor the late Arthur LeSamuel Bell, who died more than seven years ago.

Bell was killed in a car accident April 1, 1999. He had been helping a neighbor clean off her husband’s grave near Pleasant Hill when Marjorie Perry lost control of the vehicle she was driving and it flipped several times, family members said.

Bell’s family is inviting family and friends to celebrate their son and brother’s life. He would have been 23 on Thursday.

Katie Bell said she still misses her brother, who she said used to make them laugh &8220;even when we were down.&8221; She said the planning of a memorial service is nearly complete.

Katie and LaTasha Thomas say they won’t let their brother be forgotten.

The family is inviting everyone touched by their loved one to come and celebrate his life on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 2 p.m. at New Mission Pentecostal Church, located on King’s Bend Road. The sisters are taking T-shirt orders to commemorate their brother.

The son of Pastor Arthur and Evangelist Bell, Arthur was born Sept. 13, 1984.
