Saints volleyball team beats St. Jude for first win

The Selma volleyball team got its first win of the season Wednesday night on the road against St. Jude, and the Saints had to stage a comeback to do it.
Selma lost 25-9 in the opening game but bounced back to take wins of 25-20 and 15-10.
Chelsea Sturdivant sparked a five-point rally that brought the Saints within two points in the second game. Then Brittany Reese had a six-point service run to win and even the match at a game apiece.
Sturdivant again had a strong offensive spurt, this time going off for six points in game three.
Gabrielle Goudy brought Selma closer to the win with a pair of kills.
Darricka Green served the final point for the Saints to seal up the victory.
