Morgan rallies against Macon-East

The Morgan volleyball team got its biggest fight of the season Tuesday.

Three of the four games against visiting Macon-East were decided by three points or less.

After getting down early, the Senators rallied back for three consecutive wins and stayed unbeaten on the season.

Morgan (5-0) lost 27-25 in the first game then rattled off wins of 25-23, 25-15, 25-22.

Catherine Armstrong paced the offense with six kills and also added four service aces.

Mary Peyton Zimmerman followed with four kills, and Sarah Hughey had four aces and three digs.

April Clark had an all-around offensive and defensive night with three kills and four blocks.

Hughey, Summer Pugh, Erica Friday and Anne Woodruff also had two kills.

Morgan’s junior varsity swept with wins of 25-15, 25-11.
