Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Selma Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, from 7-8:30 p.m. and on Thursday at 2 p.

Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens.

Bernice Johnson

Bernice Johnson, age 89, resident of Selma died Aug. 28, 2007, in Selma. Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Walker Mortuary.

Mildred Jane Strickland

Mildred Jane Strickland, age 81, of Selma passed away Aug. 27, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Homer Strickland, Sr. and her son, James H. Strickland Jr. and brother, Sam Putnam.

Surviving are her sons, Kenneth (Catherine) Strickland and David (Patty) Strickland; brothers, Neal Putnam and David Putnam; grandchildren, Brian Strickland, Jeanine Strickland, Melody Strickland, Felecia Strickland, Kevin Strickland, and great-grandchildren, Stephanie Nicole Willard, Katie Strickland and Cameron Strickland.

Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, 11 a.m. at Barrett Road Methodist Church with the Rev. Deborah Born officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Interment will be in Braggs Cemetery in Braggs.

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Strickland, David Strickland, Brian Strickland and Kevin Strickland.

Henrietta Williams

Miss Henrietta Williams, age 76, of Selma died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in Tuscaloosa.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.

29, 2007, at Lilly Grove Baptist with the Rev. David Moss officiating and directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors are four sons; Johnny Davis Jr., Cleophus Williams, Trent Wade Williams, and Donald Williams; five daughters; Veronda Faye Jefferson, Yvonne (Clyde) Love, Virginia F. (Joseph) Hydeg, Patricia (Wayne) Savage, and Veronica (Eddie) Hooks; two brothers; Herman Lewis and the Rev. David (Margie) Moss; two sisters; Daisy (Tom) Quincy and Alberto Moss, 23 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren, four sons-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews; a very devoted and loving niece; Andrea Hall.

Pallbearers are family and friends.
