Helen Rosenblum Berenson, 87, of Marion, Ala., died Aug. 21, 2007, at Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Selma, Ala. She was born on Sept. 15, 1919, in Tennessee. Helen was a Bookkeeper for Nathan Harris’ Sons for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Ben and Jenny Wagner Rosenblum.

Survivors include: one sister, Bessie Harris Shiller of Marion, four special nephews; Gene (Jean) Harris of Marion, Nat (Lois) Harris of Gulf Breeze, Fla., Sam (Linda) Shiller of Tuscaloosa, and Robert (Ann) Shiller of Alabaster, special niece, Gladys Hirsch of Atlanta, Ga., two special great nephews, Scott (Aimee) Harris of Montgomery and Jeff (Donna) Harris of Birmingham; two special great nieces, Julie (Barry) Altmark of Birmingham and Stacy (Dan) Guidice of Big Canoe, Ga.

A graveside service will be held Aug. 23, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Marion City Cemetery with Cantor Jessica Roskin officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel directing.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Bishop C.J. Nicholson Jr.

Bishop C.J. Nicholson Jr., resident of Dallas County, died Aug. 20, 2007, in Montgomery, Ala.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Aug. 25, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church with Prophet J. Washington officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery. Bishop Nicholson was preceded in death by his parents, Evangelist C.J. Nicholson Sr. and Missionary Irma Nicholson; one sister, Clarice Nicholson and one aunt, Nellie M. Huffman.

Frank Powell Jr.,

Frank Powell Jr., 49, a resident of Selma, passed Aug. 14, 2007, in York, Ala. Services are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 24, 2007, at 1p.m. at Providence Baptist Church with the Rev. Raymond Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with J.H. Williams & Sons Funeral Home directing.

Ara M. Harris, age 79, resident of Sardis, Ala. died Aug. 22, 2007, at Southland Nursing Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date. Final arrangements entrusted to Miller Funeral Services Inc.

Regena Kelley Terrell

Regena Kelley Terrell, 83, of Howe, Ind., died Sunday, Aug. 19 at Cameron Hospital in Angola, Ind. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at Lima Presbyterian Church in Howe, Ind. and burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Howe, Ind.
