MONTGOMERY &045; Selma City Councilman Cecil Williamson remained hospitalized Tuesday in Jackson Hospital, recovering from surgery.

A hospital spokesperson said he was &8220;doing fine&8221; and is listed in stable condition in the intensive care unit at Jackson. Williamson, who serves as the Ward 1 councilman, is also pastor of Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church.

Councilwoman Jean Martin said they are all praying for his recovery.

Williamson, who is married to Dallas County Board of Education member Peggy Williamson, had a triple-bypass on Thursday.
