Donald Ellis Nevin, Sr.

Donald Ellis Nevin, Sr., age 63, of Marion Junction, Ala., passed away Aug. 2, 2007.

Surviving Mr. Nevin are his former wife, Darlene Nevin; sons, Donald E. (Pam), Nevin, Jr. and Donald Wayne (Denise) Cannon; daughter, Sheila Tucker; brother, Bill (Joann) Nevin; sisters, Linda Coleman and Ann Payne; grandchildren, Tyler Nevin, Brooks Cannon, Scott Cannon, Riley Tucker and Ashton Tucker and Reagan Tucker; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, Aug.

6, 2007, at 10 a.m. and Selma Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leroy Cole officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

Interment will be in Pineview Memory Gardens . Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007,

from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Melvin Lester, Kenny Hicks, Nick Nichols, Chester Lowery, Billy Powell and Darrell Driggers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Jones, David Nevin and Charles Nevin.

Bobby Ray Lenoir

Bobby Ray Lenoir, 61, of Maplesville, Ala. died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Ala.

He was born on Monday, Oct. 29, 1945, in Chilton County Ala., son of the late Ernest Lenoir and the late Nettie Sims Lenoir.

He was a machine operator for Oxford Manufacturing.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Lenoir of Maplesville, Ala.; two daughters, Mrs. Kirn (Jacob) Milstead of Maplesville, Ala., and Mrs. Lisa (Kenya) Oliver of Clanton, Ala.; grandson, Justin Ray Milstead of Maplesville, Ala.; brother, William (Peggy) Lenoir of Maplesville, Ala.; and sister Mrs. Patricia (Paul) Gallion of Selma, Ala.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ernest and Nettie Lenoir and brothers, Charles and James Lenior.

Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Jason Vinson and the Rev. Doug Powell officiating.

Nancy Plummer

Washburn

Nancy Plummer Washburn, 91, of Sprott, Ala., died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Marion Cemetery with Dr. Michael Brooks officiating.

The family received friends from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home before graveside services.

Pallbearers were Bill Bennett, Mike Bennett, Chuck Hughey, Chad Bennett, Jonathan Shields, Cooper Hain and Jason Sherrer.

Survivors are two daughters, Cordelia W. Hughey (Willard) of Marion, Anne W. Beason (DeWayne) of Sprott, six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Final arrangements were entrusted to Kirk Funeral Homes, Marion, Ala.

Nettie Cade, 74, died Aug. 3, 2007, at her home.

Sammy Moorer, Jr., 46, died July 26, 2007, at

his home in Miami, Fla.

Services will be Aug. 4, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Old Bethel Baptist Church where the Rev. Larry Blake is the pastor. Interment will be at The Mount Cemetery.
