To the Editor:
I want to express my appreciation to the many loyal customers of Mac’s Fish Camp.
Although we lost this treasured landmark on July 22, we did not lose your friendship. The love and concern you’ve demonstrated for Mac’s, and for us individually, has made the pain of our loss easier to bear. I am forever grateful for your support, now and in the past.
You were the reason for our success.
I also want to commend the remarkable employees of Mac’s who are like family to me.
Without John, Marie, Cliff, Melinda and Jessie, I would have been lost.
Thank you, sweet friends, for your dedication and for giving Mac’s the reputation as the “best little fish camp in Alabama.” You made us what we were.
Lastly, I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to the brave firefighters who worked so fervently to save Mac’s.
You responded in record-time to call for help, and I’m deeply appreciative of your combined effort on our behalf. You were amazing!
I don’t know what the future holds for Mac’s Fish Camp, but i do know one thing for certain, Selma (and surrounding counties) has many wonderful people, and my life has been richly blessed by some of them. Thank you again for your past patronage, and for being a source of strength for me and my co-workers during this difficult time.
Linda Hancock
Manager, Mac’s Fish Camp
