Harrison Thomas Jr.

Harrison Thomas Jr., age 47, of Marion, Ala., died June 16, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for June 21, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Eagle Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include his parents, Gloria E. Thomas and Harrison Thomas; two brothers, Derrick Thomas and Kelvin Smith; two sisters, Kesia Smith and Renee (Mario) Woodruff; one brother-in-law; two nieces; one nephew; and grandparents, James and Betty Kinney of Marion, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Vincent Thomas, David Thomas, Willie Thomas, Kelvin Smith, Floyd Kenney and Charles Kimbrough.

Reba Lois Williams Smith

Reba Lois Williams Smith, age 68, of Wetumpka, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at a Montgomery hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 at the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Polston officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Ocmulgee Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Johnnie Smith of Wetumpka; daughters, Cathy Carswell (Robert) and Cindy Weitman (Jody); daughter-in-law, Patricia Smith; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Williams; sisters, Sara Helms and Martha Heins; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Sadie Shields

Ms. Sadie Shields, age 55, of Selma, died June 19, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

Pheoba Mae Bostick

Pheoba Mae Bostick, age 73, of Selma, Ala., died June 17, 2007 at her home.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 22, 2007 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. F.D. Reese officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery with Lewis Brothers Funeral Home, Inc., directing.

Survivors include four sons, Bruce Bostick, Willie Lewis, Joseph Bostick Jr., and Gregory Bostick; four daughters, Gloria Shears, Elaine Madison, Darah Bostick, and Carolyn Bostick; five brothers, Sylvester Hosey, Dr. Bogart Leashore Jr., Calvin Leashore, Matthew Leashore, and Johnnie Leashore; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three aunts, Mapple Lamar, Josephine Peterson and Essie Singleton; two uncles, Woody Johnson and Melvin Johnson; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, nephews and great-nephews.

Thomas Orr

Mr. Thomas Orr, a resident of Prattville, Ala., passed away on June 19, 2007.

Memorial service will be Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, Stanton, Ala., with Robert Sandifer officiating.

Mr. Orr was owner of Video Film Exchange in Selma.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Karen Orr.

Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Shelby Orr of Prattville, Ala.; sons, Jimmy (Edith) Orr of Tallahassee, Fla., Jerome (Kim) Cosby of Prattville, Ala., and Derek (Lynn) Cagle of Opelika, Ala.; six grandchildren, Cal (Marsha) Orr of Iraq, Anthony Orr, Matthew Orr, Audra Cagle, Morgan Cagle, Haley Cosby, and John Mark Cosby; brothers, James LaBron Orr of Douglas, Ala., and T.W. Orr of Boaz, Ala.; and sister, Barbara Walls of Maplesville, Ala.

Brookside Funeral Home of Millbrook, Ala. will be directing.

Albert Crovato Sr.

Albert Crovato Sr., age 83, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday June 21, 2007 at the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Ira Blanchard directing. Burial will follow at New Live Oak Cemetery.

Mr. Crovato is survived by his wife Mildred Blackburn Crovato, of Selma; sons, Albert Crovato Jr., of Selma, Joe Crovato, of Selma, Lynn (Pat) Crovato, of Selma; grandchildren, Adam (Mary Susan) Crovato, of Selma and Nick Crovato, of Selma. He is also survived by his sister Florence Poulos of Montgomery.

Pallbearers will be Albert Crovato Jr., Joe Crovato, Lynn Crovato, Adam Crovato, Nick Crovato and Thomas “Snap” Dagostin.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Pisgah Presbyterian Church.

Minnie Underwood

Ms. Minnie Underwood, age 77, of Selma, died June 16, 2007 at Oak Trace Care and Rehab.

Funeral services will be announced later by Miller Funeral Service.
