David N. McC0ullough Sr.

David N. McCullough Sr. of Atlanta, a longtime resident of Selma, Alabama, died May 28, 2007.
Surviving are his wife, Annette Hightower McCullough; daughter Antoinette McCullough Mann and her husband Dr. Charles Morris Mann Jr., son David N. McCullough Jr., grandchildren Charles Morris Mann III, Annette Mann Burns and David McCullough Mann and six great grandsons.
Mr. McCullough was a graduate of Culver Military Academy where he was a member of the Black Horse Troop; he was an alumnus of the University of Georgia (1931 to 1934) where he lettered three years in football and was a member of the Northeastern Georgia Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.
He was a member of the Georgia Letterman Club and Chi Phi Fraternity.
After college, Mr. McCullough served in the US Marine Corp in The Pacific Front where he attained the rank of Major.
Mr. McCullough was the owner of Nesbitt Bottling Company and owner and CEO of Dallas Beverage Bottling Company, Inc. in Selma, Alabama where was a member of the Selma Country Club, Knights of Revelry and Rotary Club.
He served on the vestry and was Senior Warden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
He was a life member of the Piedmont Driving Club in Atlanta as well as All Saint’s Episcopal Church.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 31 at 11 o’clock at Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Harry Barrow, Newnan, Ga., officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Harry H. Hightower, Gresham B. McCullough, Jefferson Hightower, Charles M. Mann III, David M.
Mann and Matthew L. Burns Jr.

Mr. Earnest Lum, age 58 of Demopolis, Ala., passed recently at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. at Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis, Ala. The Rev. Fred Moore will officiate.
Interment with Military Honors will follow in Memorial Cemetery, Demopolis, Ala.
The remains will repose at the church on Friday beginning at 10 a.m.

Lela Atchison
Lela Atchison, age 77, of Sprott, Ala., died May 10, 2007, in Vaughan Hospital.
Funeral was held May 19, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, Sprott, Ala. Rev. Samuel Heard officiated. Burial followed in the Mt. Gillard Cemetery. Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directed.
Susie Mae Mims
Susie Mae Mims, age 53, of Marion, Ala., died May 26, 2007, in Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Ala.
Funeral will be Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Providence Baptist Church, Marion, Ala. The pastor, the Rev. Clifford Coleman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Morning Star Cemetery, Marion, Ala. Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
Willie D. Lockett
Willie D. Lockett, age 73, of Brent, Ala., died May 28, 2007, in David City Hospital, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Funeral will be Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Mt. Ebell Baptist Church, Brent, Ala. Rev. Dumas Parker and Rev. Tracey Sanders will officiate. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery, Centreville, Ala. Lee & Rollins Funeral Home directing.
