Jermonica Heard

Jermonica Heard, age 20, of Marion, died May 15, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church with Rev. Percy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Marion City. Directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Jermonica was preceded in death by father, Tommie Lee Sawyer.

Survivors include mother, Mary Heard; four brothers, Terrance Heard, Patrick Heard, Tommy Lee Brooks, Shantrez; five sisters, Carleshia Heard, LaTwa Heard, Ambrosia Heard, Gertrude Jones, Tomeka Heard; three sisters-in-laws; two nieces; four nephews; and uncles, Bernard Heard, Charles Sawyer, Mark Sawyer, Willie Earl Sawyer, George Sawyer and Clarence Sawyer.

Pallbearers will be Terrance Heard, Rodriguez Curry, Tommy Brooks, Bernard Heard, Joe Davis Sanders and Shantrez Brooks.

Jerry Campbell

Mr. Jerry Campbell, age 67 of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Demopolis, Alabama passed May 11, 2007 in Chicago, Illinois.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama.

Rev. Fred Moore, Pastor.

Rev. Sid Rowser will officiate.

Interment will follow in Limestone Cemetery, Gallion, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 12:00 Noon.

Cecil Murray ‘Bo’ Austin

Cecil Murray “Bo” Austin born April 9, 1925 went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 15, 2007.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 46 years, Carolyn Todd Austin.

He is also survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, T. Murray (Terri) Austin of Selma, Ala., J. Todd (Tammy) Austin of Mansfield, Texas, and D. Scott (Michelle) Austin of Williamston, SC; two sisters, Doris Austin Hughes of Fairhope, Ala., and Nell (Marcus) Austin Rinehart of Jacksboro, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Reeves and Thelma Plummer Austin, his brother Robert “Rob” Austin and his sister, Theora Austin Bone, He leaves behind a wonderful family legacy in his loving grandchildren, Thomas and Amy Austin of Selma, Shane, Grant, Chase and Bridget Austin of Mansfield, Texas and Alex and Case Austin of Williamston, SC along with many nephews and nieces.

Mr. Austin faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army for 23 years.

He was owner of the Montevallo NAPA Auto Parts for 20 years.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 18, 2007 from 5 – 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Clanton, Ala.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at Providence Baptist Church #2 at 1:30 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Charlie Griffin Jr.

Charlie Griffin Jr., age 72, of Sardis, died May 11, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 1 p.m. at East Salem with Rev. W.J. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Directed by Miller Funeral Service.

Survivors include his spouse, Grace B. Griffin; six brothers, Henry (Ethel) Griffin, James Griffin, Clarence (Geneva) Griffin, Lee Griffin, Albert Griffin and Antony; six sisters, Mary Lawrence, Betty (Charlie) Lawrence, Quindez (William) Stanford, Margaret (Joe) Washington, Shirley (Melvin) Melton and Loretta (Connell) Towns; nine brothers-in-laws; nine sisters-in-laws; 16 nieces; 16 nephews; one aunt and a host of cousins.

Pallbearers will be family.

Julius Clarke

Mr. Julius Clarke, age 72 of Demopolis, Alabama passed May 13, 2007 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 12:00 Noon at the Eastern Star Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama.

Rev. Terry Gosa, Pastor.

Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at 11:00 A.M.
