Carolyn Holifield ‘Tootie’ Ferguson

Ms. Carolyn Holifield “Tootie” Ferguson, 55, of Clanton passed into eternity Friday, May 4, 2007.

She was born on Friday, Feb. 29, 1952, in Hale County, Ala., daughter of the late Jesse Holifield and Lucille Coley Holifield.

Ms. Ferguson has been a resident of Chilton County for 35 years. She was a business owner, seamstress and did beautiful work in cake decor. During her lifetime, Carolyn touched the lives of many as a devoted mother, friend and loving sister who will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Surviving are her two daughters, Mrs. Sharron (Mike) Atcheson of Stanton, Ala., and Mrs. Susan (Randy) Burton of Heiberger, Ala.; companion, Mr. Mickey Scott of Thorsby, Ala.; mother, Mrs. Lucille Holifield of Mobile; two sisters, Mrs. Diane (Mike) Turner of Mobile and Mrs. Marilyn Royster of Mobile; three brothers, Mr. Greg (Beth) Holifield of Marion, Mr. Phillip (Maria) Holifield of Mobile and Mr. Keith (Dianna) Holifield of Mobile; grandson, Mr. Brandon Atcheson of Stanton; granddaughter, Miss Monica Atcheson of Stanton.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mr. J.D. Holifield.

Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 7, 2007, at Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 2 p.m. at Heiberger Methodist Church with the Rev. Tony Smitherman officiating.

Interment will follow in Bethleham United Methodist Cemetery, Heiberger, Ala.

Mr. William Brown, Jr., age 57 of Demopolis, Alabama passed May 2, 2007, at U.A.B. Hospital, Birmingham, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Christian Chapel Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama.

Rev. Fred Moore Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m.
