ORRVILLE – Twelve athletes will represent Keith in the AHSAA state track meet at Troy University this weekend.

Shuntay Gooden, the reigning 2A sectional shot put champion, led a group that qualified this past Saturday.

The boys’ relay team edged out Lanett by .04 seconds in the 4×100. The official time was 47.03 seconds. The team included Donovan Lewis, William Pasley, Shedrick Harris and DaeShawn Harrison.

The seven other athletes that will be competing for Keith are Larry Johnson, Ronda Pettway, Joshua Kennedy, Shaletha Robinson, Jasmine Thomas, Deondra Sanders and Sarah Dokes, and the team’s coach is Tommy Tisdale.

The state competition will be held Friday and Saturday on the campus of Troy University.
