Annie (Pookie) McDole

Ms. Annie (Pookie) McDole, age 35, of Selma, passed away April 18, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Funeral services are scheduled for April 28, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Ararat Baptist Church with Pastor Sammy McDole officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Miller Funeral Service directing.

Ms. McDole was preceded in death by her father, William Johnson.

Survivors include son, DeAndre J. McDole; daughter, Ka’Nesha D. McDole; two brothers, Jerry and Willie McDole; five sisters, Dianne Harris, La’Kesha Bell; Melanie Smith, Ta’Qunta Johnson; host of nieces and nephews; and aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Cedric Olds, Michael Stallworth, Derrick Moore, Terry Moore, Ruben Relph and Darryl Moore.

Inez Walker

Ms. Inez Walker, age 75, of Selma, passed away April 24, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later time by Miller Funeral Service.

Twin Babies Jaylen and Jayden Baldwin

Twins babies Jaylen and Jayden Baldwin died Monday, April 23, 2007 in Montgomery, Ala.

Graveside funeral services were held Friday, April 27, 2007 at noon in Doc. Henry cemetery with Elder Bryan Starks officiating. Walker Mortuary directing.

Survivors are parents Sheena Smith and Benjamin Baldwin; grandparents Sheila and Tellie Simpson, Edward and Lillie Smith, Gloria and Curtis Longmire and William (Grecella) Baldwin; great grandparents Dorthy Evans, Thomasine Morton, Junita Rogers, Georgia Shannon; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

The twin babies were preceded in death by great grandparents Sam Shannon and Elbert and Maggie Smith.
