Harriett Duke Brady

Harriett Duke Brady, age 81, of Selma, Ala. passed away Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Park Place Nursing Home.

Her hobbies included sewing, knitting, gardening, ceramics and cooking.

She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her sons, James D. (Patricia) Brady, David S. (Sybil) Brady, Mike (Patti) Brady, Freddy (Gina) Brady, daughter, Tracey (Steve) Banks, sister in-laws Doris Usrey, Betty Jean Fields and Nancy Cooper along with numerous nieces and nephews. Grandchildren, Scott (Stacy) Brady, Kevin Brady, Brad (Christina) Brady, Barbara Brady, Mandy (Timmy) Anderson, Joshua Brady, Adam (Michelle) Brady, Jamie (Shawn) Roberts, Chris Banks, Lee Banks and Brandon Banks, and 15 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Brady, parents, B. W. and Lucy Duke, and Jimmy Larkin Trainham.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 23 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24 at New Live Oak with Rev. George K. Jones, Sr., officiating.

Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

The family will accept flowers, or donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Inell Williams

Inell Williams, age 94, of Lowndes County died on April 22, 2007.

Funeral services and survivors will be announced later by Bell Funeral Home.

Lynda Lea McCormick

Lynda Lea McCormick, age 53, of Selma, Ala., passed away Friday, April 20, 2007 at a local hospital.

Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 25, 2007, 10:30 a.m., at Old Live Oak, with Revs. Jim Parker and Steve McCary officiating.

Preceded in death by her father, Claburn Cook McCormick.

Survived by her mother, Irene McCary McCormick, Uncle Leonard McCary (Katherine), cousins Wayne McCary (Patricia) Birmingham, AL, Steve McCary and Lyn MCary Bussells (Skip) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Lynda was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a long time volunteer at the Selma Public Library.

She was devoted to her family, friends and pets and will be missed by all.
