Minor injuries reported

A two-vehicle accident Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 80 E. and Old Montgomery Highway caused major damage to both vehicles, and sent an Orrville woman to the hospital, according to Alabama State Troopers.

The incident occurred at about 9:35 a.m. There was one injury, Annie Lawson, 52, of Orrville, was transported to Vaughan Regional Medical Center, where she was treated for minor injuries. Wesley Smith, 29, of Selma, was driving a 1986 Toyota pickup, was not injured, troopers said.
