Coulter cancellation unfair

To the Editor:

I was interested in your editorial on Ann Coulter and your reasons for cancellation of her editorials.

As you stated, “Coulter is known for being outspoken, blunt – even vile – when attacking liberals and Democrats, something that has made her valuable to media outlets who are looking for the radical conservative viewpoint.” While this is true, the same measure of evaluation should be used for the other end of the spectrum. This would mean that Molly Ivans, Maureen Dowd, Cynthia Tucker, Paul Krugman should also be cancelled for their ranting and raving in the same vane of so-call journalism. They are equally myopic, bigoted, liberal (but not Democratic) and very selective in their indignation. The only difference is in their script.

It’s a shame that the quality of your editorials is poor. Surely you can find journalists that are more focused on the whole picture rather than on their pet prejudices. For this reason, I must subscribe to various newspapers to find a rational middle of the road (and realistic) picture of what is really going on in this country and world.
