To the Editor:

As a seventh grade student attending Martin Middle School I served as a volunteer at the Selma Pilgrimage.

I had the pleasure of serving at the McPhillips House on Selma Avenue. I would like to thank The Historical Society and The City of Selma for allowing me this opportunity. Also, a special thank you to Mr. & Mrs. McPhillips for opening their home and for giving me such a warm welcome. I would like to encourage young people like myself to become involved in the Pilgrimage. It was a wonderful experience and I look forward to next year.
