Evelyn Rhordanz
Evelyn Sims Rhordanz, 90, a resident of Morning Pointe Assisted Living in Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2007 in a local hospital.
She was born in Lineville, Alabama August 29, 1916 and was raised in Selma, Alabama. She married Rudy Rhordanz in 1938 and had lived in Chattanooga since 1959. She was a member of Covenant Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Rudy Rhordanz.
Survivors include her son, Fred Rhordanz and his wife, Sue Ann of Eustis, Fla.; three grandchildren, Lesley Ryden of Midland, Texas, Rick Rhordanz of Victor, Idaho and Danny Rhordanz of Eustis, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Skyler and Canyon Ryden of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Marian Duren of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Vivian Taylor of Selma, Ala. and Sylvia Fisher of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday at New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma, Ala. with the Rev. Bob Patty officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.

Jay Bryson
Jay Bryson, age 88, of Selma, died Saturday, March 17, 2007.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2007 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Candler Cain and Rev. Joe Wyatt officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include a son, Colonel (Ret) Ralph Jay Bryson and his wife, Sherry of Madison, Ala., two daughters, Gail Bryson Foukal and her husband, Melvin, Kay Bryson English and her husband, Carter, all of Monroeville, Ala.
Mr. Bryson is also survived by his two grandsons, Tim Bryson of Harvest, Ala., Mike Bryson of Ridgeway, Colo., six granddaughters, Christie Bryson Morman of Birmingham, Marrilee Foukal, Leslee Foukal,
Jenilee Foukal, Helen Anne English and Mary Carter English, all of Monroeville, two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson, a sister-in-law, Mrs. George Booker of Selma and a brother, James Bryson and his wife, Kathryn of Tunnel Hill, Ga.
