Annie M. Miller passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at her home.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 17, 2007 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Captain Don New officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, William H. Miller of Selma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Active pallbearers will be nephews.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 P.M. Friday at Lawrence Funeral Home.

Betty Lawley Dempsey

Betty Lawley Dempsey, age 62, died at home Wednesday, March 14, 2007.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday,

March 18, 2007 at the Chapel of Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home with Rev. Ira Blanchard officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Church.

Mrs. Dempsey is survived by her husband, Donald E. Dempsey of Valley Grande, son, Justin Dempsey of Valley Grande, daughters, Regina Story of Valley Grande, Sheila Davis of Rodgersville, TN, Richette O’Brien of Asheville, NC and Donna Dempsey of Charlotte, NC, brother, Mitchell R. Lawley of Mobile, sister, Lillian Watson of Selma, grandchildren, Joshua Story, Shelby Story, Emily & Erica, Andrew Davis, Brittany Davis, Logan Davis, Clair O’Brien, and Laine Carlton O’Brien.

As we celebrate the life of Betty Lee, we rememer her love of cooking, sewing, genealogy, her flower garden and her family.

Pallbearers will be Mark Story, Russell Lawley, Wilford Langston, Robby Persinger, Todd Krumnow, Lynn Crovato and Joshua Story.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 17, 2007 from 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home.

Margie Cottrell Whitaker, age 103, a native of Letohatchee, Ala., expired March 8, 2007.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at the Big Union Christian Church with Rev. Timothy Silmon officiating.

Interment will be held in Churchyard Cemetery with Bell Funeral Home directing.

Her survivors are a loving, caring and devoted son, Willie Cottrell and grand daughter Margie Lee Brutton; 15 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 76 great-great grandchildren; and 9 great-great-great grandchildren.

The body will lay in state one hour prior to 1:00 P.M.

Brenda Garner, age 38, resident of Selma, AL, died March 15, 2007 in Montgomery, AL.

Ms. Minnie Gamble, age 85, resident of Selma, Ala., passed away March 8, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Funeral services are March 17, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. at Rising Star P. B. Church with Rev. Eugene Bennett officiating.

Burial will be in Rising Star P. B. Church Cemetery with Miller Funeral Services directing.

Survivors are her son, Willie Thomas, and her daughter, Annie Mae Turner, grandchildren, Walter Jones, Brenda James, Delia Stubbs, Willie Mae (Walter) Young, Minnie (Henry) Fuller, Jeanette (Alvin) Murry, Vicky Jones, Patricia Bowie, Minnie (Eddie) Harris, Deloise (Elton) Johnson, Queenie (Nate) Harris, Roger (Janie) Thomas, Judith (Dannie) Reese, and David Turner.

Ms. Gamble is also survived by 39 great grandchildren and 42 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her great grandchildren.

Mr. Frank Maiden, Jr., age 48 of Gallion, Alabama passed March 14, 2007 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Allenville, Alabama.

Interment will follow in Allenville Cemetery, Allenville, Alabama.
