Ms. Jane K. Thomas

Ms. Jane K. Thomas, age 74, of Selma, Ala., passed away March 11, 2007, in Lakeland, Fla.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007, at Ms. Thomas’s home; in celebration of her life.

Survivors are her son, William E. Kirkland (Georgia), a grandson, Corporal William G. Kirkland, United States Marine Corp. (Mandy).

She is also survived by a sister, Ann Ball of Georgia.

Ms. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Thomas.

Ms. Thomas was president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3016 in Selma, Ala., she also worked for the Tax Collector’s office at the courthouse in Selma until retirement in 1998.

Mr. Curly Atkins

Mr. Curly Atkins, age 73, of Forkland, Ala., passed March 10, 2007 at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 16, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Old Green Oak Baptist Church, Forkland, Ala.

Minister James Todd will officiate.

Interment will follow in Hunters Chapel Cemetery, Faunsdale, Ala.

Ms. Hattie Lee

Ms. Hattie Lee, 84, of Selma, Ala., passed away March 13, 2007 at Baptist South Hospital.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.
