Singles player Nkanyiso Neube headlined an overall strong day for the Selma tennis team Wednesday afternoon.

In No. 1 boys’ singles action, Neube defeated Demopolis’ John Davis 8-4.

No. 2 singles players Jarius Perkins defeated Dominique Austin 8-5.

Corban Wright defeated John Mark Boland 8-6.

Demopolis’ Hugh Scarbrough defeated Joe McGuire 8-5.

The Saints’ Adam Pettway beat William Hill 8-5.

Demopolis’ Jordan Stone defeated Brian Allen 8-3.

In girls’ singles action, Demopolis’ Molly Coplin beat Selma’s Lauren Thomas 9-7.

Selma’s Nichole Dawson beat Jennie Campbell 8-4.

Selma’s Lakisha Andry defeated Meredith Price, and Demopolis’ Sarah Cole beat Ayami Kishi.

Rounding out girls’ singles action, Selma’s Tiffany Perkins won 8-6, and Angelica Rutledge won 8-5.

In boys’ doubles play, Neube/Perkins defeated Stone/Hill 8-4.

Austin/Scarbrough beat McGuire/Wright 8-5.

Greg Paige/Pettway beat Davis/Boland 8-6.

In girls’ doubles, T’Keyah Anderson/Naadira Pettway beat Coplin/Cole 8-4.

Selma’s Patrice Padgett/Tonya Alexander beat Price/Campbell 8-6.
