Triangle needs mentors

Participants in The Triangle Mentoring Program of the YMCA of Selma-Dallas County recently went on a field trip to Montgomery where they visited the Rosa Parks Museum.

These kinds of outings are what expose young people and promote their development, said Nikki Solomon, program director. However, the numbers of youths have increased and she is looking for additional mentors &045; and sponsors.

Solomon said she hopes the Selma-Dallas YMCA program experiences the success that is seen throughout other areas, because &8220;there are young people here with needs for positive influences.&8221;

Solomon said there are several youths recently referred to the program that are in need of mentors.
