Funeral Services will be held Saturday March 10, 2007 at 2:00 P.M.. at the

Mt. Gillard Baptist Church with Rev. Roy McQueen officiating. Interment will be held

in

Churchyard Cemetery with BELL FUNERAL HOME DIRECTING.

Ms. Bertha M. Towns

Ms. Bertha M. Towns Thomas, age 84, of Selma, AL died on March 7, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on March 11, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olive #1 Missionary Baptist Church with A. L. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive #1 Cemetery with Walker Mortuary directing.

Survivors include: four sons, Thommy Thomas, Carvin Thomas, Charles Thomas, Lee A. Thomas; one daughter, Jacqueline Cunningham; one very devoted brother, Lee Ernest Towns; twelve grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Dan and Leila Washington Towns; one son, Larry Thomas; one brother, Lee Andrew Towns; and one sister, Lucinda Perkins.

Active pallbearers will friends and family.

Annie P. Walker

Annie P. Walker, age 83; of Selma, Alabama, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at a local nursing home.

Survivors include her sons, Louis (Nancy) McDonald, Alsey (Janice) McDonald, and Norman (Edna) McDonald; 16 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Walter Dockery and Ray Dockery; Sisters, Gertha Price, Minnie Brice, and Mamie Sanders.

She was preceded in death by her children, Clyde McDondald, Gracie L. Green, and Shirley A. York.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 2:30 PM at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Calvin Strickland officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.
