To the Editor:

At about 4 a.m. on Tuesday, my wife Judy had a very serious medical problem.

A call to 911 resulted in an ambulance to our house within 10 minutes. Two professional EMTs got an IV going and quickly transported her to the emergency room.

There, the staff and ER doctor, Dr. Felton were competent and caring. Dr. Anderson and Dr. Chittom were also involved and helped stabilize her.

She was transferred to UAB by another competent EMT team. There, she had a procedure that seems to have made her better.

We could not have had better care from our local 911, ambulance, ER team at the Selma Medical Center and our doctors, Felton, Anderson and Chittom. This much loved lady returns home today.
