Resident will be missed by community

To the Editor:
Our good friend and neighbor Ned Farish completed his earthly journey on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007. A quiet, good and faithful man, he loved God, his family, church, community, friends and neighbors.
When we decided to improve and landscape our street entrances, Ned and Sybil were one of the first to give money and offer help. As the planting was begun and completed, they were there offering their help, using their water hose and water.
Just as a baby has to be fed, loved and nurtured, so do young plants. Almost daily, we would see Ned watering the tender young plants, waving and smiling to all who passed by the entrance on their corner.
Today the plants are hearty, beautiful and have a strong foundation.
Last week, we put a black bow on the entrance in honor of Ned. Within one hour a gentle rain began falling. Could it have been tears of joy from above?
Farewell, Ned. We will miss you.
God bless you, Sybil and family. From your Cone Drive neighbors.
