Baby Boy Snow, of Orrville, AL, passed March 3, 2007 at Vaughan Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date by Miller Funeral Service.

David Martin

David Martin, age 82, of Selma, AL died on March 1, 2007 in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Gregory Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Miller Funeral Service directing.

Survivors include: spouse, Gladys Martin; parents, Janice Martin and Lindsey Martin; eleven sons, Brandon Martin, Adrian Martin, Robert Martin, John Martin, Billy Joe (Mary) Carter, Floyd (Everlina) Martin, Glenn Martin, David Martin, Jr., Willie Allen, Bobbie Allen and Gabriel Sykes; seven daughters, Electria Martin, Amber Martin, Shandra Moore, Catherlen Martin, Betty Martin, Rita Martin, and Geraldine Martin; two brothers, Robert Martin and John Martin.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Miriam Gaines McKnight

Miriam Gaines McKnight, age 95, a lifelong resident of Dayton, Alabama, passed away on March 4, 2007, after a brief illness.

She was born September 26,

1911 in Dayton, married December 28, 1933 in her family home in Dayton, and will be buried in the family plot of the Dayton Cemetery.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dayton Methodist Church, Rev. Harold Bordages and Rev. George McKee officiating with interment to follow.

Visitation with the family will be held at the McKnight home in Dayton, Alabama on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

She was the last surviving member of her generation of the Gaines family in Dayton, having been predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters.

She was also predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Stewart Davidson McKnight, and will be buried by his side.

She graduated from Marengo County High School, Thomaston, Alabama, and attended the University of Alabama.

She was an accomplished pianist and for many years played piano at her beloved Dayton Methodist Church.

Until recently, she was active in several community organizations.

During the years of World War II she accompanied her husband and young family to live briefly at various military posts where her husband was a troop trainer.

She is survived by her four sons, Stewart D. McKnight, Jr. (wife Corra) of Alexandria, Virginia, William G. McKnight (wife Sonja) of Montgomery, Alabama, Thomas A McKnight (wife Chris) of Norfolk, Virginia, and Clifton W. McKnight (wife Martha) of Dayton; eight grandchildren Stewart D. McKnight, III (wife Michelle), Elizabeth M. Whatley (husband Craig), Gaines McKnight (wife Theresa), Leigh M. Belcher (husband Greg), William G. McKnight, Jr., Scott McKnight (wife Carolyn), Thomas McKnight, Jr. (wife Kate), Megan McKnight, and Jonathan Hamlet.

She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, she has requested that donations be made to the building fund of the Dayton Methodist Church, c/o Bill Poole, 27181 AL. Hwy. 25, Dayton, AL

Mrs. Georgia Brown Hill, age 73 of Coatopa, Alabama passed March 1, 2007 at Trinity Medical Center, Birmingham, Alabama.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Coatopa, Alabama.

Rev. Wesley Winston will officiate.

Mrs. Cynthia Paige-Dorsey, age 43 of Demopolis, Alabama passed February 24, 2007 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church, Demopolis, Alabama.

Rev. Honoree Lockett will officiate.

Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery, Demopolis, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Vera Inez Small Pugh

Vera Inez Small Pugh, age 87, of Selma died Sunday, March 4, 2007 in a local nursing home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at Oak Grove Church in Clarke County with Rev. Larry Smith officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Pugh was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Tollie Wilson Pugh.

She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Wilda S. Ezelle

Wilda S. Ezelle died on Sunday, March 4, 2007, at a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Micah Gandy officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Ezelle is survived by her son, Leon Ezelle Jr. and his wife Gail, grandson, Chris Ezelle and his wife April, great-grandchildren Christian and Christopher Ezelle, all of Selma, and sister-in-law, Lillian Reeves of Montgomery.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, March 6, 2007 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
