Belles Beaus: Cotillion/Beautillion set for Saturday

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will present its Debutante Cotillion/Beautillion 2007 at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 10, in the Carl Morgan Convention Center.

This 27th annual presentation is a continuance of the vision of Delta founders and of the dreams of charter members of the organization.

The following debutantes and beaus will be presented:

TENECIA DAILEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dailey, is a junior at Selma High School.

She is listed on the A/B Honor Roll.

She is a praise dancer with T.I.G. H.T. (Together in Gods Holy Temple), the secretary of FBLA, and a member of the Delta Gems.

She is listed in Who’s Who Among High School Students.

She received the Becky Castardo Award for Excellence in Math, the Bryon and Sharon Casey Award for Best All Around Girl, and the Bert Pribbenow Award for Scholarship, Leadership, and Christian Endeavors.

She plans to attend Alabama State University and major in education.

LA’ STAVIA FOSTER, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Foster, is a senior at R.C. Hatch High School in Uniontown.

She is a member of FBLA, Delta Gems, and FFA.

She is a cheerleader.

She is listed in Who’s Who Among High School Students.

She plans to attend Alabama State University and become a physical therapist.

JOYCE JACKSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Jackson, is a senior at Selma High School.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, President of the Selma High School Choir, Youth Ambassador for City of Selma, Organist/Pianist for Brown Chapel and she is a member of the

Delta Gems.

She will attend Albany State University and major in forensic science.

STEPHANIE JACKSON, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Delois T. Edwards, is a junior at Selma High School.

She received awards for Perfect Attendance, Student of the Week, and Section of the Week for the Selma High School Marching Band.

She is a member of the Delta Gems.

She plans to attend Alabama A & M University in Huntsville and major in music to become a band director.

COUVOISIER JONES, daughter of Mr. Mrs. Charles Jones, is a junior at Dallas County High School.

She is listed in Who’s Who Among High Students.

She is a member of FBLA, Prep Squad, Singing Sensation Voices, and the Delta Gems.

She will attend Alabama State University and major in criminal justice.

AUDRIANNA MARZETTE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mario Marzette, is a junior at Dallas County High School.

She has perfect attendance.

She is listed on A/B Honor Roll.

She is a member of the National Honor Society, BETA, TSA, and Prep Squad.

She is the Parliamentary for the Delta Gems.

She plans to attend Alabama State University and major in law.

SHANEQUA ROWE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Rowe, is a senior at Southside High School.

She is a member of the National Honor Society.

She is listed on A/B Honor Roll.

She is listed in Who’s Who Among High School Students.

Her awards include a certificate for graduating from Barbizon Modeling School, Ambassador Award for National American Miss and the SGA Scholarship Award.

She received 1st Runner Up in the Elks Pageant in 2005.

She is a member of the Delta Gems Step Team.

She is captain of the Dance Team.

She plans to attend Alabama State University and major in performing arts.

ANTHONY ROBINSON JR., son of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Robinson, is a senior at Selma High School. He is President of SGA, a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Thespian Society, Boy Scouts of America, a yearbook staff representative, Youth Ambassador, SECME and a member of the Selma High Marching Band.

He plans to attend the University of Alabama and major in chemical engineering.

JUSTIN WILKS, son of Mr. and Mrs. Napoleon Wilks, Jr., is a junior at Central Christian Academy.

He is an Honor Student.

He was former class secretary.

He is a member of the junior usher board.

He is the Assistant Junior Superintendent for Sunday school.

He participated in the Selma-Montgomery-Tuskegee Tennis Camp at Alabama State University.

He participated in the Washington-Douglas Economic Forum with Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala.

He presented a Black History Presentation on WHBB radio broadcast.

He volunteers at the Selma-Dallas Public Library.

He plans to attend Auburn University in Montgomery and major in computer science.
