The 37th Annual All-Star Basketball Classic will be held on Friday in the Delchamps Gymnasium at Huntingdon College.

Girls will tip off at 6 p.m. and the boys will follow.

Dallas and Lowndes County will be well represented this year.

Making up the AISA All-Star East Boys Squad will be Robin Hagood of Lowndes Academy.

Making up the AISA All-Star West Boys Squad will be Andrew Wright of Wilcox Academy and Amellio Fikes of Marion Schools. On the All-Star West Girls Squad will be Emily Easley of Marion Schools, Cursey Oaks and Aly Bradford of Morgan Academy.

Serving as one of the coaches for the All-Star West Girls Squad will be Carly Nichols of Marion Schools.

Nichols led the Panthers to the AISA AA girl’s state championship game last week. Instead of bringing home the gold, they lost to Kingwood Christian School, 53-51.

And what would a basketball game be without cheerleaders?

Cheering on the East All-Star Squad will be Chelsea Pitts and Maggie Casey of Lowndes Academy. Pitts and Casey both served on the East All-Star Squad for the All-Star football game on Dec. 1.

Cheering on the West All-Star Squad will be Anne Larkin Oaks, Cursey Oaks and Walton Callen, all of Morgan Academy.

The three girls served on the West All-Star Squad for the All-Star football game.

Serving as one of the West All-Star coaches will be Karim Oaks of Morgan Academy, who was also a West-All Star coach during the All-Star football game.
