Willis Gary Wilson

Willis Gary Wilson, age 57, passed away Monday February 12, 2007 at his residence.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife Connie Ellison Wilson, sons Brice (Michelle) Wilson of Maryville, Tenn., Jeffrey B. (Mandy) Wilson of Moody, Ala., and James R. Ruff of Clanton, Ala., daughters Heather (Jay) Smith of Selma, his niece L. Blayne Kirby; and his brother Thomas G. Wilson III, grandchildren Benson Girlie, Hunter Smith, Audrey Wilson, Thorne Wilson, Garrett Wilson, Jake Smith, Jess Smith, Gracie Kirby and Sophia Kirby.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Shumate, Tim Williamson, Joe Moore, George Edwards, Butch Wilson and Gordon Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Brignac, Wylie Newton, Julian Howell, Jack Burns, Nick Knight, Sherman Looney, Richard Ware, Jim Byrum and Roland Ellison.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 14, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 15, 2007 at Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. with Associate Rector Reverend Joseph Knight and Reverend Preston Johnson officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Barbara Radford Ware Nursing Scholarship or Cahaba Hospice Inc., 410 Church Street, Selma.

Lumon O’Dean (Monk) Harrison, 94, of Stanton died Sunday, February 11, 2007 at Park Place Nursing Home, Selma, Ala.

Service will be held Wednesday, February 14 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home, Clanton, with burial in the Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery. Rev. John Ingram and Rev. Danny Raseberry, officiating. Martin Funeral Home directing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Rea Dyer Harrison, Mother and Father, Joel Hardy and Katherine Harrison, two sisters and four brothers.

He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, one sister-in-law, Geraldine Harrison and a host of friends.

Mr. Harrison was a Deacon and member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Stanton.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13 from 6-8

p.m. at Martin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.
