To the Editor:

Pastor Gandy seems to be taking his own words to heart … I believe the passage reads, “Let your men preach and your women teach …” so, where is the harm in a woman teaching – in any capacity, in any venue – as long as she is not also preaching?

Gandy, a woman is a viable teacher of the Word, just as a man is, and women have taught all sorts of information in the past, including Bible study, so why the hue and cry, now?

Of what are you afraid?

Is this woman taking the place of some preacher?

Then I agree with you, she has overstepped her bounds, but if all she does is teach, she has every right to continue to do so!
