Della W. Bender Dawson, age 84, of Selma, AL, a retired school teacher from the Dallas County School System, passed on February 1, 2007 in Birmingham, AL.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Collirene, AL (Highway 9) with Rev. J. D. Ruffin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Green Chapel (Stringer) Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include: two daughters, Bobbie (Lemuel) Jones of Selma, AL and Emma (Clifford) Tarver of Birmingham, AL; five grandchildren, Lemuel LeRon Jones, Julian, Jossyln, Clifford and Brian Tarver; three great grandchildren, Justin Moorer-Jones, Aisha and Caleb Tarver.

She was preceded in death by her spouses and parents.

Sally Kay Bledsoe

Sally Kay Bledsoe, 49, a resident of Camden, AL, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at her residence.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. at Camden Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dunklin & Daniels Funeral Home, and will lie in state one prior to service on Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Bledsoe was preceded in death by her son, William Frederick Bledsoe.

Mrs. Bledsoe is survived by her husband, William G. Bledsoe of Camden, AL; daughters, Blair (Chad) Bledsoe Bennett of Montgomery, AL and Lauren Jill Bledsoe of Camden, AL; son, Robert William Bledsoe of Camden, AL; and sisters, Debbie (Aldo) Reyes, Charlotte (Pat) Whitley, and Shelly (Don) Petree.

Mrs. Ruthie M. Kirk, age 71, of Demopolis, Alabama passed away on February 4, 2007 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Moscow Baptist Church in Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. Elister Charleston will officiate. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
