Fannie Bridges, age 84, of Selma, died January 18, 2007, at a local hospital.

Services will be 11:00 Monday, January 22, 2007, at Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. Ed Eaton officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow in Catherine Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Bridges of Selma and Walter Bridges of Huntsville; daughter, Avie Bridges of California, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Christopher Bridges, Wesley King, Jason King, Scott King, Brad McMicken and Tommy King.

In lieu of flowers that family suggests memorials be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to Westwood Baptist Church.

Robert Eugene ‘Bob’

Hagler

Robert Eugene “Bob” Hagler passed away on January 19, 2007, at his home.

Graveside services will be Sunday, January 21, 2007, 2:30 p.m. at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Fancher officiating and Selma Funeral Home directing.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Hagler; sons, Scott (Dawn) Hagler of Bulverde, Texas and David (Beth) Hagler of Grayson, Ga.; daughters, Jeanne Porter of Selma, Ala., and Valarie Hagler of Mary Esther, Fla.; stepsons, James Lee Wood of Auburn, Ala., and Lyle J. (Rachel) Wood of Savannah, Ga., and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Homer I. Hagler and mother, Myrtle Jordan Hagler. Bob was a graduate of Albert G. Parrish High School, Selma and Auburn University.

He received his MBA from Troy University, Troy, Ala.

Pallbearers will be Hubert Carmack, Scott Hagler, James McDonald, David Hagler, Tommy Brown and Michael Warr.

Alternate pallbearer will be David Giddens.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 21, 2007, at 1-2:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Cahaba Hospice, 410 Church Street, Selma, AL or Summerfield Baptist Church, 72 Main Street, Selma, AL

Ruby Stewart, 97, of Selma died Jan. 20, 2007, at a local nursing home.

The date and time of services will be announced at a later date. Lewis Brothers Funeral Home Inc., in charge of arrangements.

Leonard Morris “Big Mo” Barton Jr. passed away Saturday, January 20, 2007.

Graveside services will be Monday, January 22, 2007 11:00 a.m.at Shiloh Baptist Church with Selma Funeral Home directing.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 21, 2007, from 6-8:00 p.m. at Selma Funeral Home.
