Staff Report

Traffic was stopped Wednesday afternoon when two vehicles had a near head-on collision on North Citizen’s Parkway.

Trooper Steven James responded to the collision. According to the State Trooper’s Office, driver Aulsey Lassitter and Jeremy Gardner of Valley Grande were traveling east on Highway 22 in front of Captain’s Corner Exxon when Stephanie Ann Frist, also of Valley Grande, was traveling west in the turning lane and failed to yield to right-of-way traffic in an attempt to turn into the Exxon station. Frist’s 2002 Ford Explorer impacted with Lassitter’s 1997 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, sending all to Vaughan Regional Medical Center with injuries – none life threatening. Frist was traveling with her son and daughter – six-year-old twins.
