The WQSB After-Christmas Tournament held at Snead State in Boaz had some of the top teams in 4A over the weekend.

In the opening round Thursday, Dallas County – led by Josh Spears with 15 points, Thomas King with 14, Felix Baker and Percy Harrell with 10 apiece – routed Ft. Payne 61-45.

In the second round Friday, Dallas County upset Douglas, the No. 1 team in 4A.

Spears scored 17, King had 15 and Harrell had eight.

The results of the Hornets’ game in the finals Saturday were not available as of press time.
