To the Editor:

I had the privilege to go to the Martin Middle band concert on Thursday night.

It was awesome to see how well these students have learned to play in such a short time.The seventh grade band has only played since September. They entertained us with some of their daily exercises and some Christmas carols. They were wonderful. The eighth grade band entertained us with some of the pieces that they will be playing for contest.

I would like to thank Mr. Boley for all the hard work that he does to make it so these children will love music.

Your hard work pays off each year. It always amazes me as to how you can take children and teach them to play so quickly. Thank you for doing more than is required for your job. I know that both of my children have improved due to the help after school that you give them.

Thank you for making sure that these students play daily in class. Continue your hard work ,as we parents reap the benefits!
