Eddie W. Barefield

Eddie W. Barefield, age 96, of Selma, Alabama died on December 8, 2006 at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

He worked for the Southern Railroad for 35 years.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother and 8 sisters, 3 brothers and 2 sons.

He is survived by his wife Ardie M. Barefield; daughter, Barbara B. May of Birmingham and Jacquline B. Page; 2 grandchildren, Willie II and Ardie Natasha Page; 1 great grandchild, Alliyana A. Page of Colorado Springs, Colorado; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be held on December 14, 2006 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 1:00pm with Lewis Brothers Funeral directing.

Viewing for family and friends will be from 12:00 to 1:00pm at the church.

42 of Selma, Al died on November 21, 2006. Cremation service provided by Walker Mortuary.

Ethel Hunter of Selma, AL died on December 12, 2006 in Selma. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Walker Mortuary.

Irma Krebs Selmi

Irma Krebs Selmi died Sunday, December 10 at a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 14 at New Live Oak Cemetery with Rev. Frank Callaway officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Selmi was preceded in death by her husband Bruno “Bill” Selmi, her brother, Joe Krebs and her parents, R.E. Krebs and Annie Krebs.

Memorial contributions may be made to ones favorite charity.

Mrs. Queenie Perry

Mrs. Queenie Perry, age 90, of Demopolis, Alabama passed on December 9, 2006 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 12:00 noon at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis, Alabama. Rev. Willie Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis, Alabama.

The remains will repose at the church on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m.
