There is good news on the way today.

Wayne Vardaman, Economic Development Authority Director, approached the Dallas County Commission at its last two

meetings asking for tax abatements for new and expanding companies – one of which will be announced today.

At 10 a.m. a company will announce its

plans to invest in Selma and Dallas County at the Centre for Commerce, located at 912 Selma Ave.

“This is a good thing,” Vardaman said.

The company’s capital investment and other details will be announced by company officials today.
