Letters give blame, not solutions

To the Editor:

Selma seems to have tag-team writers. One will be negative one week and then the other one the following week.

The truth be known, if as much time was spent in coming up with solutions as was spent bashing and blaming, we would all be better off.

In the Sunday edition of the STJ we saw just more of the same.

It is really sad due to the fact that the writer in his attempts to discredit others is losing his own credibility.

The people here are much smarter than the writer seems to be aware just look at the facts. This is only the second term in office by the present mayor.

Unless the present mayor has a big S on his chest and can fly, there is no way that he can be to blame or expected to fix all the problems in that amount of time.

The church that was stated to now have a deputy is not the only church in Selma that has security.

As far as the police chief, so what if he has an apartment here and a house in Bibb County – that game has been played for years. Was it right in the past or wrong? Or is it just wrong now?

A couple of letters ago you made reference to a song.

In closing I would like to do the same, “Respect Yourself” by the Staple Singers – give a listen and learn.
