Clifford O. Davis, Sr.

Clifford O. Davis, Sr. age 82, of Selma passed away Sunday November 26, 2006, at a local hospital. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday November 28, 2006 at New Live Oak Cemetery with his nephew, Rev. Arthur Davis officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Bernice Mott Davis, sons, Clifford Oliver Davis, Jr. and his wife Janice, and Bruce Derrell Davis and his wife Marie, grandchildren, John Oliver Davis, James Derrell Davis (Marianne), and Theresa Davis Puckett (Larry), and great-grandchildren, Justin Ross Puckett, Larry Wayne Puckett, Jr., and Daniel Chisenall. He is also survived by his brothers, Donald Earl Davis (Fran) and Claude W. Davis (Romania), sister, Willie Maude Cleveland, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Davis was a mechanic at Phillies Cigar Co. for 44 years.

Pallbearers are James Voegler, J.L. Calvert, James Carr, Jamie Calvert, Lloyd Chisenall, and John Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Buddy Rose, Willard Vick, and Tommy Witcher. Family will receive friends Monday November 27, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Roger Gordon Nichols, 44, of Vance, Ala. died Nov. 21. Services will be held at Kirk Funeral Homes Marion Chapel on Monday, Nov. 27 at 12 p.m. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
